If you do not have a valid drivers license, government id

or government passport Disney will accept an original

or certified copy of a birth certificate as proof it is your

birthday. School ids are not government issued and

cannot be used as id for the FREE Ticket.

Even though you signed up late for the Free Birthday

Ticket (You are supposed to register at least two

weeks before your birthday), you are still eligible

for the FREE ticket. Disneyland should send a

confirmation to your e-mail address within 48 hours

registering. You should bring the e-mail with your id

to the Main entrance ticket booths at Disneyland.

If you do not get the e-mail in time, simply bring your

id to the Main entrance ticket booth and tell the cast

member that you registered online and you did not

receive your confirmation e-mail. They will still give you

the Free Ticket.

Even if you don't receive a confirmation email, you can still head to the park with the appropriate ID. Tell them you pre-registered and they should be able to find it in their system. If they can't, all that means is that you'd have to fill out the same paperwork at the ticket window. Be aware that a xerox of your birth certificate will not suffice; it must be an officially certified copy, usually with a raised stamp from the county. School IDs are not accepted as valid identification.

From the FAQ:

Guests Registering Less than 2 Weeks Before Their Birthday

Please sign up online following the above instructions. If you do not receive a confirmation email before your birthday, you are still eligible to redeem your free admission to a Theme Park on your birthday. Please bring proper valid ID to the Disneyland® Resort Main Entrance ticket booths and inform the Cast Member that you registered online.

Q: What kind of identification do I need to show at the ticket booth?

A: Proper valid identification would be a Driver's License including a photo, Government-issued Photo ID, or a Government-issued Passport. If you are under age 18 and don't have any of the above mentioned ID, an original or a certified copy of a Birth Certificate is required. School IDs or children security IDs are not deemed government-issued photo IDs and will not be accepted.
