Not a lot of rides are that intense at Disneyland.

The scariest rides there are:

Tower of Terror (DCA)

Maliboomer (DCA)

California Screamin' (DCA) - This is the biggest coaster in the Resort but is really fun. Just look at it and make your own decisions.

The dark rides in Fantasyland can be scary for young children but you'll be fine.

As to avoid waiting in lines there's something called 'Fastpass' on some rides. You put your ticket in and you get a voucher to come back between certain times where your line will only be 10 minutes or so. The theory is Fastpass is waiting in line for you. You can get one of these per hour.

The big rides like Indiana Jones, Soarin' over California, Screamin', Big Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, and Splash Mountain all have Fastpass.

To save yourself time try to focus on areas. If you have a Fastpass for Indy, go check out Haunted Mansion and Pirates while you're waiting to go back there.

If you're going to both parks here's my recommendation for the 'don't miss' rides:

Soarin' over California

Pirates of the Caribbean

Haunted Mansion

Peter Pan

Space Mountain

Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin

California Screamin' (if you're feeling it!)

Splash Mountain - Warning - has a big drop at the end

Have fun.

Pretty much ALL the rides in Disneyland are not scary. Only like 2 in Ca. Adventures are scary.

If you get there first thing in the morning start collecting fastpasses. First thing in the morning you should only get times that are at most 30mins from the time you get them.

A common misconception about the fastpass is that you have to use them at the time it says on the pass...but unless you get a CM with a huge sitck up his butt they will let you use them ALL DAY. thats what we did when i was there in July.

Also when you get there in the morning for now i would sugest going to the left because the subs just opened in June and many people wanna go there.

Hope this helps email me if you need anymore advice

First off- If you don't like fast and scary then AVOID

Space Mountain at Disney Land and The Haunted Hotel at CAL ADVENTURE.

The best way to avoid long lines is to go and line up at a ride prior to a parade starting. Since most people gather round to view the parade. You could also line up for your last ride during the fireworks show, Also make sure your there real early to have a full day and line up for the most popular rides as soon as the gate opens. Preferably closest to entrance.

IE... The Matterhorn, etc.

Get tot he park when it opens and go left at the hub (Adventureland) most people go right (tomorrowland) and head for Space Mountain and the new nemo ride. Nothing at Disney is "real scary" Tower of Terror at Cal Adventure and California Screamin are about the most intense rides but there is plenty to do for everyone. And as Jean said, see Aladdin, great show, Tough to be a bug, Nemo, Monsters Inc.

at disneyland, some rides that you should like: space mountain, splash mountain, the matterhorn bobsleds, big thunder mountain railroad, pirates of the caribbean, star tours, indiana jones, and haunted mansion. those are the "bigger rides". space mountain and splash mountain can get VERY long wait lines (especially splash mountain during the summertime and whenever it is hot). i suggest heading over to splash mountain and getting a fast pass. a fast pass holds your place in line, and after a certain amount of time, you can get on the ride with little to no waiting.

there isn't as much to do at california adventure, especially if you don't like "scary rides". you definently have to check out soarin over california, though. another one is grizzly river rapids (get a fast pass for this as well. if it's hot, the line will be VERY long). you can also check out the sun wheel, the orange stinger, the golden zepher, and mulland madness. i would definently recommend going to the hyperion theater and watching the aladdin show. it is a really great performance, plus it gives you some time to rest and get out of the heat!

get fast passes, they are easy to get and free, just present your ticket to booth thingy and it gives you a time when you can cut in line.

Also I suggest big bear rapids at california adventure.

And for disneyland, pirates of the caribean is a great ride for families, have fun!

There are lots of rides that aren't scary there. My favorite is Splash Mountain!

A VIP pass will allow you to get around a long line and pass right to the front of the line. Good luck getting them though. They are not just handed out. I don't even think you can purchase them. You either have to get them from a travel agent or you have to complain about something bad that Disneyland did and get them to give you some free VIP passes.

Have FUN!
