It's confusing, because the whole thing is "Universal Orlando Resort." This includes 2 parks (with sections in each park) plus Citywalk (a dining and shopping complex) and hotels.

You need tickets to each of the parks, one is Islands of Adventure, the other is Universal Studios. You can buy a ticket for just one of the parks, or a ticket which allows you to visit both in the same day. For example, a one-day ticket for Islands of Adventure is $79. A one-day ticket to visit both parks is $109.

Both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios have themed sections like Amityville, Toon Lagoon, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. They don't require separate tickets once you enter the park. It's just for decoration and so forth.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter sometimes has a separate **line** to enter the section. It's free (once you pay to enter the Islands of Adventure.) Crowds have been so big, they limit the number of people in the WWHOP so the people in there can actually move around. So be aware if you are trying to visit on a crowded day, you may not be able to walk right into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Universal Studios Islands Of Adventure is NOT made up of separate parks. Instead it's made up of islands. Each island represents a different theme such as Dr Seuss and Wizarding World Of Harry Potter. Each island, especially Harry Potter, only has a few attractions. They are all considered the same park and a single ticket will get you into all attractions and islands of Universal Studios Islands Of Adventure.

The only thing that you would need a separate ticket for, is if you had plans to go to Universal Studios Florida. This is a separate ticket from Islands of Adventure. If you plan to go to both parks, you will need to buy tickets for both.

You do not have to buy a seprate ticket for each 'island'. Think of it like Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom. Once you're in, you have access to Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and so on. In the case of IOA (Islands of Adventure), once you have purchased your IOA ticket, you have access to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Marvel Superhero Island, Toon Lagoon, Seuss Landing, Jurassic Park, the Lost Continent and Port of Entry. If you want to go to the other park (Universal Studios), however, you will need another ticket or a two-park ticket.

Have fun!

No. The Islands of Adventure are all connected so you don't need separate tickets for each part. However, you would need another ticket if you were going to Universal Studios because it is a different park.
